1) The hotel is 2 star hotel, not 3 star as mentioned in Booked.net 2) The room service is poor; my room was not serviced at all during my 7 nights stay. 3) When checked in the room was dusty. 4) TV channels are very few, and most of the channels are not clear.

I actually liked nothing a bout Al Jabal Hotel! The rooms are extremely bad, the receptions is even worst. No towels available within showers, TV with no remote controller. The ugliest part was paying your whole stay prior or before check in !!!

*Most economical package received in Salalah on given dates. *Good breakfast *Location was good, Almost middle of various sites tobe visited. * One indian receptionist (Forgot his name) was really helpful who guided entire tour of salalah. He was real nice and kind person.
*Room had strange smell in it. *Ac was noisy, difficult to sleep. *Lift door does not open so many time at ground floor. Most of the time you need to go to another floor and come back to open the door.

The location is horrible. You should not support this hotel as advertised. (There is no garden and No swimming pool). It is surrounded by concrete and next to a very loud highway which kept me awake till 3am. It is stuck out on the outskirts of town in a particularly desloate spot. I am sure most tourists will be very disappointed by the location. The rooms are large but hideously decorated - dark green plus deep mustard yellow, rust red curtains was the combination in my room. The breakfast was minimal: teabag/instant coffee with a can of evaporated milk nearby, white sliced bread for toast only. Eggs and juice had to be requested separately and paid for extra. My colleague ate his and then rushed out to vomit!

The fridge in the room worked, except that it wobbled. Tha'ts just about the only positive thing about the hotel.
The hotel was an absolute disaster. The business centre, was actually a run-down computer in the lobby, infested with every single kind of worms and malware known to Man - documented and undocumented. The smell in the room was putrefactive. The plumbing in the toilet leaked - we literally swam into the toilet as opposed to what regular people do, which is to walk in there. The staff were not too helpful, and that's definitely an understatement. Housekeeping did a very poor job, IF they actually did anything. All in all, the exorbitant rate of this hotel is completely and utterly unjustifiable. Oh, and it is NOT a 3-star hotel as they claim on the website - it is rated by the Omani Ministry of Tourism as a 2-star hotel.

The best thing about this hotel that during the peak time it offered double rooms for a relatively low cost (compared to other very expensive hotels of the city). The staff is friendly and trying to make up to the bad impression you get the moment you see any of the rooms. Pictures on Booked.net show some other rooms or when they were new and well decorated for the pictures. Breakfast is average ok for this type of hotel, but only if you come early. Otherwise everything is eaten and nobody is replenishing.
Generally, we did not like this hotel at all and if given a choice will never stay there again. Because of humid climate there is an awful smell in the rooms and one of the rooms even had black funghus on the wall which is very dangerous for health. Bathrooms are scaringly shabby, furniture is all stained and they put plastic chairs and tables into rooms!!! Linen is yellowish, we had to ask for an extra set to wrap up the bed completely before we could sleep on it.
